Professional Experience
Mr. Johnson has served as President of Johnson & Associates, Inc., since 1989. Under his direction, the firm has grown from one Registered Land Surveyor to three full-time Registered Land Surveyors, three Professional Engineers, and a number of associated support personnel, both technical and administrative. In addition to his responsibilities in administration of the firm, Mr. Johnson directs, coordinates, and oversees the production and completion of projects, assuring that they are satisfactorily completed on or before schedule and within budget. Mr. Johnson has served in various offices and on various committees for several professional societies and organizations.
Project Experience
- Ashley Acres, Madison County, Alabama
Senior Project Engineer, Land Surveyor, and Land Planner for this 200 acre residential development.
- USDA Forest Service, Talladega National Forest
Project Director responsible for administration, scheduling, field supervision, and QA/QC. Performed GPS and conventional field surveys for the re-establishment of section lines for USDA acquisitions, disposals, and land exchanges (115 monuments were set and 35 miles of boundaries were established).
- Dunlop Test Track, Madison, Alabama
Project Manager and Field Director for initial horizontal and vertical control and construction staking for the $10 million project.
- Blue Springs Road, Huntsville, Alabama
Design Engineer for the relocation of 3300 feet of collector road.
Mr. Johnson has performed the engineering design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, stormwater and sewerage collection system design, water supply design, site planning, survey management, construction inspections, and horizontal and vertical design of streets for residential developments.
