Summary

Steve has been with J&A since January of 2006. His focus has been to manage The Construction Engineering and Administration Section of the company. We have been selected by ALDOT to provide CE&I services on an “on-call” capacity statewide. We have also provided Construction and Project Management services for municipalities. Steve retired from The City of Huntsville, Alabama with 25 years of service having advanced to level of Senior Engineer. Over the course of that time he has managed many Public Improvement Projects, including roadways, bridges, commercial, and residential developments from design to construction to closeout. He was also the Lead Engineer in the creation of several programs including the Bridge Inspection Program, Sidewalk Construction Program, and the Sidewalk Maintenance Program. Steve is directly involved in all of our Construction Management ventures. He has a thorough knowledge of requirements and procedures practiced by ALDOT and many surrounding Municipalities. Steve also provides “Constructability” and other specialized design reviews to the J&A design teams. He is well known throughout Alabama and has developed professional relationships with Engineers associated with ALDOT and many other Municipalities.

Project Experience

Interstate 565 in Huntsville, AL
Involved in the management of many projects involving conflicts with the Interstate Project as well as coordination activities with ALDOT.

 

Hampton Cove, AL
Project Engineer responsible for the design and construction of the Eastern Bypass. Project Engineer representing the City of Huntsville during the development of the Hampton Cove Golf Course and residential subdivisions, as well as associated necessary sewer and drainage improvements.

 

Urban Roadway Widening and Expansion Projects
Project Engineer responsible for design and construction of some 40 to 50 roadway and bridge projects.

 

Research Park Huntsville, AL
Construction contract Administration of commercial subdivision development projects as a consultant to The City of Huntsville, Alabama.

 

Tennessee D.O.T.
Successfully completed the Engineering CO-OP Program with T.D.O.T. receiving training and technical experience in the many functions of The State Department of Transportation.
